About Pé na Estrada Films

OUR STUDIO

Founded in 2015, PÉ NA ESTRADA FILMES is the production company that opened the  performance of  experienced producers José Fernando Muniz  and Luis Alberto Rodrigues.

Aiming to develop audiovisual projects linked to the States of this Region, PÉ NA ESTRADA seeks to enable  a greater diversity of accents and landscapes in Brazilian Audiovisual, contributing so that other locations, in addition to the Rio - São Paulo axis, can also find space for representation and tell their stories.

FERNANDO MUNIZ

José Fernando Muniz is a producer and actor. He began his career in the 80s, and in 1990 he moved to Milan, where he worked as an opera singer and opera producer. Back in Brazil, he founded FM Produções in 2011, a producer and distributor based in Rio de Janeiro that gained international prestige by co-producing CINEMA NOVO, a feature film directed by Eryk Rocha, awarded the L`Oeil D`Or for best documentary at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival.

Fernando Muniz annually participates in the main Festivals and audiovisual market fairs such as Cannes, Berlin Festival, American Film Market, Bogotá Audiovisual Market, Ventana Sur, Festival do Rio, among others, taking projects for co-production and distributing national content to international channels.

BETO RODRIGUES

Luiz Alberto Rodrigues, Beto Rodrigues for short, is managing partner and executive producer of Panda Filmes, a Brazilian film production and distribution company based in Rio Grande do Sul and managing partner of Pé na Estrada Filme. He works as a screenwriter, producer and director. 

 

With a post-graduate degree in “Audiovisual Production - Cine and Television” from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (1995), he was a professor of “Audiovisual Production” at the University of Passo Fundo (UPF), between 1997 and 1999, and professor of the disciplines of "Production"; “Production Specialty” and “Production Economics” in the undergraduate courses in “Audiovisual Directing” and “Specialty in Cinema” at the University of Vale dos Sinos (Unisinos), between 2003 and 2015.

 

He was vice-president of the Professional Association of Cinematographic Technicians – APTC/RS and president of the RS Audiovisual Industry Union (SIAV-RS) during three terms. He is currently president of the Fundação Cinema RS (FUNDACINE RS) and member of the Technical Chamber of Independent Production of ANCINE. He was a member of the Superior Cinema Council for two terms. He worked on 7 TV series and 24 feature films.
